Security:

In order to use Secure Ordering, your Web browser must have support for Secure Sockets Layer (SSL). This allows us to provide secure transactions.

What is a secure session?

Normally, Web pages are returned to your browser via the HTTP protocol. This is an insecure protocol that makes no attempts to hide information or verify that the information was transferred without alteration.

A secure session is established via the HTTPS protocol which uses the Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) underneath. This ensures that the information sent between your browser and the Web server cannot be read by others. It also ensures that the information cannot be tampered with en route.

Why can't I have a secure session?

You might be behind an Internet firewall or proxy server which does not allow secure sessions. Speak to your systems administrator or ISP about using SSL from your browser.

Secure sessions may have been disabled in your browser options. In order to enable them again follow these instructions:

Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.x
go to the 'Tools' menu and select 'Internet Options...'. Select the 'Advanced' tab, and enable 'Use SSL 2.0' and 'Use SSL 3.0' in the 'Security' section.
Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.x
go to the 'Tools' menu and select 'Internet Options...'. Select the 'Advanced' tab, and enable 'Use SSL 2.0' and 'Use SSL 3.0' in the 'Security' section.

Netscape Communicator 4.x
go to the 'Communicator' menu and select 'Security Info...'. Enable SSL v2 and SSL v3 in the 'Navigator' section.
Netscape Communicator 5.x

Netscape Communicator 6.x

Finally you may have a custom browser (usually supplied by your ISP) that does not have full SSL capabilties. Contact your supplier and ask them about using SSL from your browser.
